Boy it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas — if not outside (um, hello sixty-degree December day in New York?!) then at least here on Dinner: A Love Story. Because today, I’m so happy to present to you this nice big gift to unwrap: A Christmas Brunch Kit from my longtime partner Applegate. If you head over to their site, you’ll read the story and the recipe behind the Sausage-Kale Tart you see above, but if you come back here, you can be eligible to win a whole bunch of things that will make any holiday brunch — Christmas, New Year’s, Boxing Day?? — that much merrier. Including:
**A generous supply of Applegate Natural Breakfast Sausages (both patties and links): Chicken and Apple, Chicken and Maple, Chicken and Sage, and (Abby’s favorite) Classic Pork
**A copy of both Dinner, A Love Story and Dinner: The Playbook (woo hoo!)
**A casserole dish (not shown above, but trust me, it’s prettttty)
**And some awesome Applegate swag: magnets, a travel cup, a spiral notepad, a chico foldable bag and more.
Not bad, right?? All you have to do be eligible to win is comment below. One winner will be chosen at random on Monday, December 21 at 12:00 PM ET. Good luck everyone and THANK YOU APPLEGATE!
Update: The winner has been notified. Congrats Angela, and thanks to everyone who played!

This looks amazing! I’ve been looking for a pretty casserole dish :)))
Who doesn’t love brunch!!
YUM!
I was just thinking about Christmas morning brunch. We’ll be with my in-laws the the only thing they ever eat on Christmas Day morning is monkey bread. I’m really sensitive to sugar so even though I love cinnamony monkey bread I can only have a couple bites before nearly passing out from the sugar overload in my system. The rest of the family can survive on it just fine until dinner at 5:00, but not me. So, it’s become my responsibility to ensure that there is something else to eat so that I don’t spend my Christmas Day in a hangry rage. This looks like just right recipe. Thanks for sharing!
What a great package. I love Applegate products!
This would be so nice. I was planning on making a breakfast dish similar to this for Christmas brunch.

Love Applegate!
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, for the opportunity to overindulge without feeling too bad about it (ya have the whole day ahead to exercise that off!) … Remember when your kids were little and a luxurious breakfast happened 3 X a year– once when grandma had the kids overnight, once for a sleepover-there birthday party, and finally at Christmas morning when the husband, as much a kid as the kid, entertained the little one with the first carefully selected gift?
As I get older, I need to limit my overindulgence, but Christmas will always include a rich egg dish and meat on the side– but the only exercise to combat that is lifting cup after cup of egg-nog-laced coffee…
