Game Plan

Here’s mine for Super Bowl Sunday:

Chili Nachos with Guacamole

Hot Cheesy Artichoke Dip

Sweet and Sticky Chicken pieces (I’m doing drumsticks and thighs — I made this last week and forgot how tasty it was!) or Chicken Pot Pie (shown above)

Homemade Mac & Cheese (I might waive this if I go with Pot Pie)

Greens with Apple and Fennel.

Beer.

I’m hoping someone else can come up with a winning dessert idea.

Enjoy the game.

A Plum By Any Other Name

Impressive vegetable showing for Super Bowl Sunday.

Chocolate stout cake for dessert? (Or were you hoping someone else would, ahem, tackle it?) It might be winning if you didn’t have to make it …

A store bought suggestion is ok, right? I say get some Boston Cream Pie Ben & Jerry’s and call it an awesome day. Have you tasted this stuff? It’s unbelievably good. (Go Pats!)

I found the recipe for the chicken wings on your site a week or two ago, and made them for my family. Everybody LOVED them, so we’re bringing them to a Super Bowl party. Delish.

I’m making black & white cookies for our game day potluck. Don’t know what the other teams fans will have 🙂

There is something about the 4th quarter that just screams beer + chocolate chip cookies to me. To each his/her own…

Made similar wings from a recipe called Obering Wings. Used white instead of red wine and included minced garlic. Yummy. Will try the tar pit ones next time.
