You two are so funny! I loved this post and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us now that you’re back from vacation. Welcome back!

I was just filling these out for my kids and now I’m tempted to do one for my husband. Thanks for the laugh and welcome back!

J – good! Now to drink more citrusy Sauv Blanc (although I’m such an addict with the stuff that I’m forcing myself to drink red (( … not that it’s bad … but not my first choice)) because I can sip red so much more slowly!

These such posts are some of my favorites!

I also have a special person that does not take to the runny egg. Glad to see I’m not alone. Luckily, he does brunch. I’ll let you know if I find any good breakfasty support groups for you two …

Meg, I think I’ve been to one sporting event since our kids were born but, that aside: yes, it extends. Only possible exception: poolside, on vacation, but even then, self-loathing will find me.

@Andy- I’m thinking of a football game on television on a Sunday afternoon. Those games just don’t seem complete without my SIL’s chili and a Sam Adams.

Glad to hear about the exemption for poolside, vacation cocktails 🙂

I laughed out loud when I read the part about drinking during the day. As much as I love my cocktails, I hate drinking mid-day. It leaves me feeling groggy and dare I say, depressed!

You guys are so funny. I needed this on the first day back to school. Going to pour myself a chardonnay/medicine right now to celebrate!

I laughed out loud at this. Welcome back, both of you. Jenny and I have the same mantra. My husband never fails to make fun of me for it, but I can always forsee the worst case scenario.

I have to agree with Andy. Zucchini and eggplant are gross. It’s a texture thing, as they have no flavor. And I am going to blame Jenny for my newfound (refound?) interest in gin and tonics, particularly Hendricks and tonic. I had forgotten about those.

These are amazing! Thanks for sharing! and P.S. day drinking is the BEST! Tell Andy to channel his inner college kid on “game day” and maybe he’ll remember. 🙂

Ha! The knocking on wood thing made me laugh. Jenny, may I introduce you to the UK version, which is touching wood? Much quieter 🙂
