The Rivertown Public Market

I wanted to take a second
to tell you about something cool happening in my hood. You are looking at a photo of the Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park, located on the Hudson River, about 20 miles north of New York City. It has been the site of many things in my life: A place to take the kids for a swing or a slide, for Shake Shack and sushi dinner picnics and summer movie screenings; the train station is right there so it has been a delightfully easy-on-the-eyes launching off point for thousands of commutes into the city. And I’m now pleased to add one more thing to the list: The Rivertown Public Market, which is a celebration of all things local and delicious in the spirit of Smorgasburg and food festivals everywhere. (Think lobster rolls, ramen, artisanal ice cream sandwiches, Korean tacos, bao buns, cold brew; plus bands, magic shows, and so much more; follow us on the RPM Instagram feed for daily drool-worthy teasers.) I’ve been helping out a dream team of organizers and Rivertown-lovers — Michelle Adams, Kate Sonders, Ali Moss, Doug Schneider, Robin Helman — and it’s all set to happen on September 22, 2018, from 11:00-4:00. Please mark your calendars, New Yorkers! It’s a 40-minute commute from Grand Central, and, in my humble opinion, just the way to kick off fall right.

Also, IMPORTANT, if you are a business (local or otherwise) that would like to reach thousands of food-loving family-oriented Westchester residents, or a business (local or otherwise) that just wants to be aligned with, you know, really cool events like this, please get in touch about sponsorships. Edible Westchester and Edible Hudson Valley are our media partners and we would love to partner with you too! Message me or the team at info@rivertownpublicmarket.com for more information.

Hope to see you all there!
