This is a very exciting day for me. Not only do I get to tell you about Curtis Sittenfeld’s brand new short story collection — You Think It, I’ll Say It, my favorite of all the books she’s written — it is the day that the real life Curtis Sittenfeld makes a cameo on Dinner: A Love Story. Yes, that’s right. This blog, this post in fact. In You Think It, Sittenfeld, whose writing we all fell in love with when we read Prep a decade ago, follows a menagerie of female protagonists navigating the most ordinary of circumstances — running into grown-up high school queen bees, hooking up with Trump supporters, crushing on other kids’ dads at school. Sittenfeld’s characters are my favorite kinds of characters: They are never exceptional, though they are often funny or smart without being pretentious. And they hate people who think they’re exceptional, believing this to be a serious flaw. Sittenfeld is the master of the withering observation, and no one is safe from it here in the best, most entertaining way. Please do yourself a favor and order her book for yourself today. (And when it arrives, read “A Regular Couple” first. Or maybe “Gender Studies.” Or maybe “Volunteers Are Shining Stars.” I can’t decide, but whatever you do, savor each one!) Until then, here’s Sittenfeld chiming in my Top 10 Series with her list of her top, uh, almost ten allergy-friendly foods for kids. Thanks Curtis!
Did you know that Oreos are vegan? If you did, there’s a decent chance you’re the parent of a kid with allergies to milk and eggs…and you’re delighted that your child can actually enjoy these junky favorites. (That creamy filling is, well, not cream. I believe it’s canola oil and/or palm oil.)
After my second child was diagnosed in 2012 with allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts, I became a scrupulous reader of ingredients on food labels. I also ended up embracing foods I hadn’t previously been in the habit of eating or even necessarily ever tasted. My daughter can now eat milk and eggs, which has significantly expanded our options for family meals, but I’ll always be grateful to the products and brands that have in the last six years allowed us to enjoy tasty food… and one another.
SunButter At this point, I eat more SunButter, which is made out of sunflower seeds, than anyone else in my family—I have it for lunch on a rice cake a few times a week. It’s easy and delicious and protein-filled, like peanut butter without the peanuts. I’ve even traveled with a 16-ounce jar, so when I learned that SunButter had started selling single-serving cups, I was actively excited (sometimes you have to take your thrills where they come).
Cherrybrook Kitchen Cake Mix and Frosting My daughter has taken her own treat many times to birthday parties, and for years, our go-to was a cupcake my husband would make with this mix and frosting. Together, they make a cupcake look and taste like…a cupcake!
Dum Dums Lollipops Dum Dums are made in a facility free of the top eight allergens, a fact they mention on their packaging. Because they’re portable and don’t get mushed or stale, I usually keep a baggie with four or five in my purse, and if we’re out and about and unexpectedly find ourselves in a situation where other kids are eating treats, I give one (or all four) to my daughter. Dum Dums are also our usual offering for Halloween (I aspire to be the curmudgeon who gives out dental floss, but I’m not all the way there yet).
Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips My husband had barely baked before our daughter’s allergy diagnosis, and he became a whiz at making pancakes and cookies that didn’t include eggs and milk but did often include these chocolate chips.
Made Good Granola Bars It’s tough to find granola bars without nuts, but this Canadian brand is like Dum Dums in being produced in a facility free of top allergens. Unlike Dum Dums, Made Well granola bars actually contain a serving of vegetables—some almost magical mix of spinach, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, beets, and mushrooms that does not affect the bars’ taste. The most popular flavors at our house are apple cinnamon and chocolate chip.
Fritos Okay, I won’t pretend I was unfamiliar with Fritos prior to 2012. But Fritos and I certainly didn’t used to enjoy the very close relationship we do now. I like that Fritos have just three ingredients (corn, corn oil, and salt), meaning I don’t need to spend 45 minutes checking their label. I like that, unlike nichey granola bars, they’re sold everywhere so if my daughter needs a snack on the fly, we can grab a pack from a gas station. And I like that they’re delicious. As a Fritos connoisseur, I prefer the larger Scoops version.
So Delicious Coconut yogurt, Coconut milk, vanilla bars, and vanilla sandwiches : Oh So Delicious, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! First, I love that these foods contain a satisfying richness—the vanilla bars, for example, can proudly go toe to toe with Dove bars. I also love So Delicious’s labeling so much that I still almost weep upon reading it. Food labels and warnings are not created equal in terms of clarity, and some of the ones that say “May contain nuts…” feel as if they’re saying, “You have allergies? Tough shit! This food might be fine for you, but we don’t want to go to the trouble of making sure.” By contrast, So Delicious’s label, which I consider the gold standard, is almost a paragraph long and feels like the voice of a sympathetic and responsible friend: “Produced in a facility that processes other tree nuts and soy. We have a rigorous allergen testing program and apply strict quality control measures in an effort to prevent contamination by undeclared food allergens…” It might be an odd thing to say about a food safety disclaimer, but So Delicious’s labels are for me a beautiful affirmation of my own outlook about food allergies: Having them is a lot more complicated than not having them. But even with them, life can be, yes, so delicious.
Thank you Curtis! And now, a GIVEAWAY. (I know, the day just keeps getting better!) Comment below for a chance to win a signed copy of You Think it I’ll Say It. There will be TWO winners and the contest ends Thursday, May 3, 2018 at noon ET. Good luck everyone. UPDATE: The winners have been notified. Thanks for playing and congrats Stephanie and Asia!
We LOVE the Cherrybrook kitchen brownies! We don’t have any food allergies in our family but they are still our absolute favorite and good when friends with allergies visit. We’ve baked them as brownies- but also they have a cakey texture so we’ve cooked them in cupcake wrappers as well. yum yum yum
As a food allergy sufferer myself, I have to agree it is like a breath of fresh air when companies recognize it enough to list out all the measures they go through, I love so delicious. Though I have to disagree on the fritos, as the thin original ones are my favorite when I’m looking for a good chip.
Ooo, Prep is a fave and have followed her ever since!
Those stories sound right up my alley!
Loved American Wife! Also second the So Delicious recommendation. The dark chocolate is amazing.
I SO love her books! Can’t wait to read this one.
I feel like I’ve had this on my Goodreads ‘To Read’ shelf forever! Can’t wait to finally read it 🙂
I too became the Sunbutter eater in my house when my nut allergic child wouldn’t touch the stuff.
I am going to have to try SunButter now. Sounds amazing. Excited to read this book too!
Oh man, “Gender Studies” was so good. Can’t wait to read her latest!
I have no food allergies but I will, for some reason, feel better about reaching for Fritos next time I’m at the store. Have seen talk of this book all over the interwebs. Can’t wait to read it.
What a wonderful list of allergy-free foods! We don’t have food allergies at our house, but we have friends and family that do!
I cannot wait to read this new book! I keep hearing rave reviews about it.
This is a great list! Luckily my son grew out of his peanut allergy, but we enjoyed sunbutter for quite a few years.
Thank you so much for this post! I have two kids, who between them, have allergies to just about everything. Or so it seems. I will certainly look into the Cherrybrook products!
“Prep” felt like someone was inside my high school head, and I’ve been a Sittenfeld reader ever since. Plus we have two food-allergic kids at home. Home run for me!
“Prep” felt like someone was inside my high school head, and I’ve been a Sittenfeld reader ever since. Plus we have two food-allergic kids at home. Home run for me!
SunButter is the best!
I am eager to read this book. (And track down some Made Good granola bars…) 🙂
This book has been on my radar for a couple months now and I’m excited to know it’s out in the world for me to read!
Thanks for the tips!
So excited for this new book!
Loved Prep, and excited to read this one!
My sister and I always try to read new Curtis Sittenfeld books together so that we can discuss immediately. I am so excited about this one!
I am looking forward to reading this, preferably with a bag of Fritos!
My favorite Curtis Sittenfeld book is Eligible, a modern day retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Hilarious.
My favorite Curtis Sittenfeld book is Eligible, a modern day retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Hilarious.
As the parent of a child with type 1 diabetes, we need to know the carbs in each and everything he eats. I share your pain – I am an expert at food labels and in digging through other people’s garbage at parties to find the labels 🙂
Huge fan of Fritos, Curtis’s books, and of course DALS recipes–we made bean burritos last night and Tony’s Steak is a family favorite. Thanks for this great post
Curtis, I’ve loved your books ever since I read Eligible! Pure brilliance. Thanks for the helpful allergy-free food list too – you rock!
I looooove a good short story collection- and I’m excited to finally read this one!
I would love a signed copy of this book so much. Curtis Sittenfeld is my favorite.
And thank you for this list! I have to pack tree-nut free lunches for my son for summer camp and I was running out of ideas. Oreos and Fritos all the way!
Fun post! I’d love to win a copy of the book. 🙂
That information about Fritos has just blown my MIND!
Also blowing my mind – my favourite food writer and favourite author blogging together.
Fritos FTW! I had no idea the ingredient list was so simple…
I already finished her book and can’t WAIT to meet her in Boston tomorrow. Her books are such a treat – so well-observed and sharp.
Just finished reading Eligible, which I loved and looking forward to her book of short stories!
One of my favorite writers with one of my favorite writers!
And now I’ll never look at Fritos the same way – who knew how simple and special they are?!
I LOVE CURTIS!! Her books are the best.
I read Prep for the first time (I say first time, because I’ll probably read it again) last year after not knowing why I waited so long. This story collection sounds perfect.
Cross Sugarman 4 life
Thanks for the snack list, as a mom with one kid allergic to peanuts and the other allergic to eggs I’m always interested in seeing what kind of treats are out there for my kids. Oreos and dumdums are a staple in my house! By the way the tiny fudge covered Oreo thin bites are ridiculous, I actually hide them away for myself.
Would love to read the new book too!
Love Curtis Sittenfeld. I first met her at a reading in St Louis where she was living at the time. Our county library has a wonderful authors series and she appears almost every year. I especially love when she writes about locales I can drive by.
I am a big fan of Sittenfeld’s writing, so am excited to read this book. I have a child with a severe peanut allergy. I highly recommend the Trader Joe’s brand of sunflower butter (the one with the sugar in it, because please, who wants the sugar-free) which I think is the best. I never thought I could live without peanut butter but it turns out I can. My son hates it, which is more proof that it is a lot like peanut butter! Thanks for the granola bar recommendation as this has been very tricky. If I can get my non-allergic kid to eat them then I’ll have solved the vegetable problem too. Our trick for avoiding peanuts is to look for European products as they don’t use many peanuts in Europe and so there is little chance that they are a cross-contaminant.
Loved Prep and American Wife!!! Thanks ladies!!
love all of her books! so excited to see her featured here
Always so happy when there is a new Curtis Sittenfeld book to read! Prep, American Wife. Sisterland…all favorites.
Those granola bars sound tasty! And I love her books so so much. Eagerly waiting to read this one!
I love Curtis Sittenfeld and winning a signed book would be amazing!
As the person tasked with organizing birthday celebrations at my office, this Oreo news is revelatory. Once again, Curtis Sittenfeld is changing lives.
Great post! Very excited to read this book. And now I’m also craving a big bag of Fritos!
Love your book recommendations!
I love her books! I have read everything she has written until now, and I would be thrilled to receive a signed copy. And I love knowing how “clean” Fritos are. You learn new things every day.
Looking forward to reading this one! I’ve enjoyed her other books. Thanks!
This book sounds fantastic – can’t wait to check it out!
We have a son with a nut allergy – so also have to check labels. Great suggestions we will have to try, thank you!
You just made my day with this post! YAY! Thank you!
Had previously given Dumdums a bad rap – my kids love getting them at the liquor store and hair salon. Glad to hear local business are providing safe sweets. Glad to have another good book for my “To read” list.
Was “Gender Studies” the one in The New Yorker? I loved that story. Am really looking forward to reading this book.
Love this! My BFF has a child with lots of food allergies, so I just sent this post to her!
I love, love, love short stories! Would love to win 🙂
Really looking forward to this book! And thanks for the allergy friendly foods. Always looking for ways to accommodate kids with allergies when I sign up for class snack duty.
LOL @ the hooking up with Trump supporters story. This is a regular topic of conversation between my single friends and I. For that reason alone I would love to read this book.
Thank goodness for both companies and friends that take the time to care about our children’s allergies. It really takes a village.
Oooooh another Curtis Sittenfeld to read! Thanks for the giveaway, Jenny,:)
Love her writing! Just put this book on my to-read list.
Thank you for this post! I really appreciate recommendations – no one in my household suffers from food allergies, but several of our friends do, so it’s great to know some products that everyone can enjoy!
Ah, I love Curtis Sittenfeld! Can’t wait to read her new one.
I had no idea Oreos were vegan!
Love Curtis Sittenfeld. Love Fritos, too. What a great post!
Loved Prep! So excited about this. Thanks for featuring!
Just put “Eligible” on hold at my library again after raving about it to my mom!
I love sunbutter. Rice Krispy treats with sunbutter and chocolate is so tasty!
Love her writing! I’ve been looking forward to this collection!
I don’t have any allergies, but I would love to have this book!!
I’ve served Oreos with organic milk for years.
And I’ve adored your blog and cookbooks for almost as many years.
You two are breaths of fresh air, Jenny and Curtis.
Frito story is great….had no idea!
Yay! Can’t wait to read this!
One of my favorite authors! Can’t wait to read the stories
I would love a copy of this book!
i love this post! two of my favorite worlds collided!!!
Me, me, me!
Good to know about the dumdums! I am a teacher and always feel bad for the kids with dairy allergies on birthdays. I will stock dumdums from now on!
Awesome to read a mom with kids with food allergies tell it like it is! Thank you!
Would love to win a copy. Love the granola bar link. Nut free school here so those would be perfect.
My son is allergic to peanuts and a bunch of other things, and we have tried every food listed above!! And by the way, he is 19 and away at college, something I worried about for many years.
I’m going to look for the Made Good bars. They look great! Thanks for all the recommendations!
I adore all of her books! American Wife is incredible, and Eligible was so fun – I could go on and on. Thank you!
I’m on maternity leave with my second and just read two Curtis Sittenfeld books during my middle of the night feeds. Would love to read this new one! Thanks also for this post – great suggestions that I’ll add to the mix for our first who has egg and peanut allergies.
I haven’t read something for my own pleasure in… I can’t remember. Would love a copy of this!!
I’ve loved Prep since I first read it in college. Sprinf is proving to be excellent for my TBR pile!!!
I am so so excited to read this book! Thank you for the beautiful recommendation!
DumDums are the best! Classic and exotic flavors and a non-mom-guilt-inducing quick sugar hit.
Prep is one of my all-time favorites – can’t wait to read this!
These are great tips (delivered in the most wonderfully Curtis-y voice)! I’ve already read and LOVED YTIISI. As a Curtis completist, this is my second favorite of her books to date (Prep still/forever holds my heart).
I fell in love with Curtis’ writing in Prep and can’t wait to read this new book! Also, as a food allergy sufferer and mom to food allergic kids, I appreciate this list!
I love lists like this. My children do not have food allergies so I am not well versed on what snacks to have on hand for when one of their friends come over (who may have an allergy). I never want any child, who comes to my home, to feel left out. I try to always have a few allergin free foods on hand so thank you for helping me add to my pantry!
I am a big fan of So Delicious Coconut Milk. I eat it with granola and use a generous amount in my coffee.
This post does what the very best ones do–makes me like the author’s work even more because of how interesting I find the author themselves. (Publicists, take note, I guess? :))
I am a fellow Fritos Scoops lover . . . And a lover of books. My favorite Sittenfeld novel to date was American Wife, but truth be told, I’ve loved all her books.
Even as a nutrition major working in my field, the learning curve when my daughter was diagnosed with whey protein allergy was immense . . .And I could still use eggs! And Sittenfield is one of the authors, along with other favorite liek Allende and Conroy, who have hardback books in my personal collection.
I can’t wait to read this book.
love curtis sittenfeld’s writing and love dals too!
I am going to have to try those granola bars for my family. I am intrigued!
I have enjoyed all of Curtis Sittenfeld’s books and look forward to this one.
I became a Curtis Sittenfeld fan after reading Marrican Wife, and I’m still a fan all these years later! Congrats Curtis on your latest book.
I have relished all of Curtis Sittenfeld’s writing since Prep (which I reread immediately upon finishing!). Can’t wait to read this latest!! On another note, my son does not have allergies but we try to always have gluten-free, nut-free and dairy-free snack options on hand for play dates. We will definitely be trying some of these suggestions—thank you!
This book looks great!
Favorite author, hands down! Can’t wait to read!
I’m a teacher and made my students tiny gingerbread cookies as a treat. The cafeteria had pre-wrapped non-allergen cookies that were probably 4x the size of the cookies I made. I handed her hers and the kids around her gawked, so jealous. I said to her “Sometimes the kid with the allergies deserves something bigger or better than everyone else.” She gave me the biggest grin.
(“Her” being the one kid in that class with allergies.)
So excited for a new Curtis Sittenfeld book!
Sounds like a good book!!
Great ideas for families with allergy concerns…we navigated that path for years! Thanks for sharing.!
Always love your recommendations! I’ll have to check this one out too 🙂
Nice to hear someone praise Fritos for a change!
I’ve loved Fritos since 1984! Love that they are allery friendly too now that I have kids.
I’m all about short stories these days, I would love to read this!
Loved Prep and currently rereading American Wife!
I’m so excited to read this book – I’d love a signed copy! While I did enjoy Prep, I have to say that American Wife is my favorite Curtis Sittenfeld novel so far.
Can’t wait to read it! Love her suggestions- healthy items mixed with some necessary indulgences!
The first paragraph totally got me. “Ha! I do know Oreo’s are vegan! Oh snap, I do have a kid with allergies.” If the rest of Curtis’s writing is as good/even better than this post I want to read her book!
I LOVED Prep and American Wife, so no doubt this new offering will not disappoint! I can’t wait!!
So glad to see you have a a new book out, Curtis! I can’t wait to read it — whether or not I win.
I was at the birthday party of friend’s daughter (who has serious food allergies) and was surprised when she blew out her birthday candles which were jammed into Oreos! I’d had no idea they were allergen free! Excited about the book recommendation!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I cannot wait to read this…favorite author!
Looking forward to this book! I enjoyed Prep and LOVED Eligible. And Gender Studies is our pick this month for short story club!
Looking forward to this one! I enjoyed Prep and LOVED Eligible. And Gender Studies is the pick for my short story club this month!
As a fellow allergy parent, I appreciate all of your suggestions! Eggs, milk, and wheat are out for us, and our daughter loves the Enjoy Life sunbutter chewy bars! As a reader, I’m excited for your book!
I love this! My son was recently diagnosed with an egg allergy and I am navigating some of these waters now. I love her honest and down-to-earth (relatable) writing style.
I think we’ll be handing out Dum Dums and fun size bags of Fritos next Halloween! Can’t wait to read this.
So Delicious really is delicious 🙂
I’m a fan…of you both! Looking forward to this new book.
I loved Prep and look forward to reading Curtis’ new book!
I recently retired from teaching first grade however I’m passing this list on to my colleagues. We are very diligent about food that is brought into the classroom-be it daily snacks or food for birthdays/holiday celebrations. Sometimes food is a part of STEM and literacy lessons also. We want everyone to be safe and it would be easy enough to provide these food. It’s a great list to give safe food suggestions to other parents too. Thanks!

Some great snack ideas for some kiddos in my life. I’m thinking I’ll stock up on So Delicious first so I’m ready. (That’s just an excuse—we love it.)
I credit “Prep” with being a book that changed my reading life– it rather than being a solitary activity, it made me want to talk with others about what I was reading. I’ve been so looking forward to the new release– can’t wait to read the recommended stories first!
I recommend American Wife to everyone 🙂
One of my favorite books ever! Need to revisit it!
I am so excited to read this book and the fact that DALS had it featured REALLY makes me want to read it. 🙂
I will happily PREP any allergen free foods if it makes me ELIGIBLE for this giveaway. My two great loves in life are reading and eating so this post alone made my day
Ok, Gemma deserves the giveaway! 🙂
Oh, I would love to win the book. I have loved Curtis Sittenfeld’s work since she used to write for Salon many years ago, and we lived in the same building in Washington. I felt creepy noticing her packages in the mail room off the lobby, but I also felt oddly glad that Curtis Sittenfeld was my (unwitting) neighbor. Also, her description of the underappreciated beauty of the upper Midwest in American Wife always makes me achingly, tearfully homesick.
Love the ode to Fritos; I’ve been a long time fan of Sittenfeld and can’t wait to read this!
Sun butter — yum!
Prep and American Wife – two of my faves!
Yay for allergy parents sharing their wisdom! Would love to check out this book.
I finally read Prep last summer. Loved it and can’t believe it took me so long. I won’t wait as long for her latest release. This will be a great summer vaca read.
Oh, would love to win and read this book. Love all her others!
I try to read every single word Curtis Sittenfeld writes. She could delight me writing about the small print warnings on food labels . . . oh wait, she just has.
Last Halloween for the first time a parent at the door asked if we had any chocolate- or nut-free treats. I had to say no. I’d never thought about it before. Next year, Dum Dums. Thank you!
I would love that book!!! 🙂
I *did* know that Oreos are vegan b/c my younger daughter had similar allergies! She had a lot of sorbet those first few years… And I still also love sunbutter!
Love everything she writes!
I love Enjiy Life chocolate chips for allergy-friendly baking. And, I love Curtis Sittenfeld!
Sittenfeld is my favorite author and I did not know she had a new book coming out!
I love So Delicious coconut milk ice cream almost as much as I loved Eligible!
I have loved Curtis Sittenfeld’s books since Prep came out.
As a vegan, Oreos are my favorite guilty pleasure!
I’m new to Curtis Sittenfeld, and look forward to reading her books. I love the inclusion of Dum Dum lollipops on the allergy-friendly list–if only they would stop shrinking them! At this point, there is more stick compared to candy!
Who knew that Fritos, Oreos, and Dum Dums were so beloved! 🙂 (Seriously though, I really enjoyed learning that Dum Dums were allergy-free – I’ve got a newfound respect for them!0.
Love to hear about all of the allergy-friendly foods. (My son has an egg allergy.) And I would love to read that book!
Thank you for this great tease on Curtis Sittenfeld’s new book! I was looking for a good new read, and looks like I’ve found it with your help.
Thanks for the chance to win! I love short stories and this collection looks amazing. Curtis Sittenfeld has been on my to read list forever!
Adding this to my book wishlist!
This is amazing and so so helpful. I’ve found some of these brands on my own (because both my kids also have dairy, egg and tree nut allergies ) but am thrilled to have a list of additional options to check out. THANK YOU (from my boys too who this really benefits!)
I love Curtis, DALS and this post!
Just added your books to my Goodreads list!
Looks like I need to stock up on Oreos and Fritos!
I would love this book! I also love Fritos, the lack of a scary long list of chemical ingredients allows me to convince myself they are healthy, ha!
Better add this one to my “to read” shelf!
Um, yes please! And if I don’t win, I’ll find a copy somewhere, somehow, anyway! :-*
I love Curtis Sittnefeld’s books and short stories are the best in my time crunched life. I would really enjoy a copy!
I appreciate every unisex name! Thanks for American Wife.
The discovery that Fritos are vegan changed my outlook on life!
I read the excerpt on Amazon and am hooked. I already ordered it. I can’t wait to read it.
sounds like a great book!
I have heard so many wonderful things about this book. And hooray for Fritos!
Curtis went to my high school (a number of years after I did)! I love her books and am thrilled that she is on my favorite website!
I cannot wait to read this book! Her work is seriously astounding, and I cannot believe how many people I meet who have never read a single book of hers! I will just have to pick up some of those Vanilla Bars to accompany my inevitable binge reading session.
The purity of fritos – who knew!?! Now I feel better about enjoying them with cowboy caviar this summer. Can’t wait to read Curtis Sittenfield’s latest!
So excited to read the new book!
Love all of Curtis Sittenfeld’s books! Can’t wait to read this one!
This book looks so good. My daughter is about to graduate high school very soon and is looking for good books for the summer. I recently pencilled Prep onto her list. I’m putting this title on my own to-read list.
Loved Prep! Thanks Jenny!
I love Curtis!!
I’ve been a fan for a long time and am so excited to read the book and get all my book club friends to do the same. I also appreciate the allergen-free tips for my loved ones. And I second how wonderful Sunbutter is. The unsweetened version at Trader Joe’s is quite good.
Fingers crossed! Am reading a library copy of this right now and would love to have my own.
I would love to read this book!
I loved this post 🙂 I regularly cook for folks with intolerances, and allergies, and it changes the way you see the world. Sounds like her world is a pretty great one.
I knew there was a fantastic reason to eat Oreos and fritos!
I knew there was a good reason to eat oreos and fritos! Very excited for the book.
Love the new items to try…sunbutter and so delish. Thanks. No food allergies but I love to try all the foods.
Books with female protagonists are my go-to, so I appreciated Prep and am excited for more.
Ooh, this is definitely going on my to-read list!
I LOVE CURTIS!!
Currently reading Meg Wolitzer’s The Female Persuasion. I am trying to read mostly female writers this year and it is so easy because there are so many great ones past and present–like Wolitzer, Zadie Smith, and Curtis Sittenfeld!
Would love a copy!
I love Curtis Sittenfeld!
We have tree but/peanut allergies and just discovered Made Good granola bites at Costco and they’ve been a lifesaver! Can’t wait to read this new book
Now I’m hungry for Fritos! Really looking forward to reading Curtis Sittenfeld’s new book.
Going to check out the granola bars! My daughter has a long list of food allergies and it is the bane of my existence! And she’s picky!! We love SO delicious ice cream!
