I would be thrilled to have the book. I search your website for ideas all of the time. Would love to have a hard copy of the book.

I asked for your book for my birthday, but no dice. Maybe I’ll have more luck with a random drawing than my carefully curated wish list!

Reply
Amy

Really hoping that today is my lucky day — my family has loved everything I’ve made from your website. I think they would be just as thrilled with the cookbook as I would be. Thanks!!

Just so you know. I have PINED after your book since it came out. I have asked for it on every birthday, mother’s day, Christmas, etc. The kids were going to get it this Mother’s Day but when they got to BAM, they were OUT. So, FINALLY, I ordered it FOR MYSELF Monday. It’ll be here tomorrow. I can’t promise I won’t cocoon and read it from “civer-to-civer” (as my mom would say). I’m SO STOKED.

My eleven year old son would love to be on this show. Thursdays is his night to cook and he looks forward to it. Last night was salmon, rice and broccoli. He chose the salmon recipe online and did everything, with a little supervision. The mess is incredible, but the confidence is worth it. And the dinner was tasty!

My husband and I just closed on our new house on Wednesday – it’s a place where we hope to start a family and cook many, many fantastic dinners. A copy of DALS would be a great housewarming gift!

Love the blog, love the recipes, and love the Jenny-Andy banter. And Burrito Bowls and Stromboli have made it to the top of my kids’ request lists – displacing hot dogs! Thank you!

If I win the book I’m giving it to my sister who is in dire need of a kick in the cooking pants! But, of course, I’m going to read it myself first!

I love your blog! I recommend your blog to all my friends (most of which don’t have kids). I started reading years before we had our son. He’s 16 months now and always hungry, so new meal ideas from your book would be wonderful!

After watching Ramsay, Joe and Graham’s kids on the “real” master chef, I sort of hope they return to be judges or something.

Also, I’d love a copy of that book!

I found your book at the library one day and fell in love with it. It was entertaining, insightful…and the recipes were great. Would love to have the book for myself!

I am excited about this show too! I have been watching the Rachel vs. Guy kids cookoff on Food Network and that one is pretty good. Winning your cookbook would be awesome!

We will be watching Master Chef Junior too- my 12 year old loves cooking and cooking shows.
Also, your book rocks. I borrowed it from our library but knew just a few pages into it that it was going on my “to own” list. I fell in love with it from the beginning and have told so many people about it. I would love to win a copy!

I am consistently delighted and inspired by your blog. I’ve had the cookbook on my Amazon wishlist since it came out, but no takers yet! Alas, right now we are in a 1 (public health) income, 1 student + 2 kids in daycare, so no discretionary spending, so I’d LOVE to win a copy of your book. But, the 1 student is about to be done, so it’s first on the list when there are 2 incomes again!

my plan for tonight was pizza, but i think i’ll just roll it up like a giant joint & make stromboli.

Last week, I was devastated to see the last episode of this season of Master Chef (I’d be happy if no one won ever and I could just watch mystery box challenges and what Graham Eliot look up to the stars every time he tastes things).
Today… You bring me a new hope. I think I might actually have a shot at making it on this show. Except… I’m like 20 years too old.

Big fan of yours and of course cooking shows! I’m torn on the kids competition, its a lot of pressure for little souls. Chopped and all the like make me too anxious to enjoy watching, I don’t want to see kids dealing with that kind of stress.

Reading about your commitment to family dinners has caused me regret for the years while working that I did not make this a priority in my own family. My children are now grown. BUT you have also made me realize that it’s never too late! I can still cook family meals with your recipes and mine and invite my adult children and grandchild for a delicious meal made with love. Thank you. Nancy

Not sure how I found your website/blog, but so happy I did! I was in a cooking rut and am now seeing the light after hearing how you “deconstruct” your meals. So much fun hearing how excited you get about preparing food for your family and a good reminder that the people you share a meal with is all that matters. Keep up the good work!

I just recently bought your book and love it! I laughed through the whole thing. I have made the apple gazette and – last night – the individual chicken pot pies. I’ve already bought your book, and I love it. I’m not leaving this comment for your book, but because it’s sad to see that it’s for the 48 state residents only. I live in Hawaii and most of the times shipping cost exactly the same through post office. But I see many websites not shipping to Hawaii. As your fan, it is disappointing to see we, the HI residents, are not even eligible to win a copy of your book.

I am making your pizza with my two other friends and their kids tomorrow. It’s delicious. I like this dough recipe more than the simpler version that requires an 18-hour rise. Yours is much easier to handle. Love it.

Aloha from your fan in Hawaii
